We are craftsmen and artists who show up when we say we will, communicate well with our customers, and get the job done with quality and integrity. We answer our phones and return messages and keep our customers updated on what they need to know. We want to do the job in the right ways and have the experience to do so.

We like to do small jobs for our customers. Many homeowners are busy and don’t have the time and expertise to take on smaller repair and upgrade tasks that need to be done to maintain their homes. We’ll do the small jobs that a lot of contractors won’t.

We believe that small jobs lead to larger ones. We want to do right by our customers so that they will spread the word about our company to their friends and relatives.

We do the big jobs. We have all of the skills to complete small repairs/ remodeling/ handyman type tasks to the larger, more complex projects that require inspections and permitting.

We are intentionally a small, one crew operation. We do most things ourselves, but also bring in other licensed tradespeople and specialists when needed to get the job done.

We can provide input to help you design your project the way you want it, and make that vision a reality. We can also provide design services and help you pick out the styles and items that you want.

We specialize in revitalizing investment properties from start to finish, both as an investor/rehabber and working with investors and homeowners on their own projects to both manage the project, obtain and deploy materials and also working to complete most aspects of the project with our own team. We have taken homes that had severe problems and repair needs from needing to be bulldozed and turned them into assets to the communities where they are located.

We approach our projects from a holistic perspective. Fixing underlying conditions as part of the rehab process while making the home properly ventilated, efficient, safe and healthy.

About the  Owner

Brett Byerly is a housing professional with over 25 years experience.

Brett first worked as a NC Licensed Home Inspector for 10 years inspecting thousands of homes for their new buyers as well as radon, water testing and other Indoor Air Quality measures.

Brett then worked for the Greensboro Housing Coalition first as a Housing Locator for individuals and families transitioning from homeless shelters to permanent housing. He then worked there as a Healthy Homes Specialist for 5 years working with tenants and homeowners to assess their homes and working to improve the physical conditions. During that time, he worked with national, state and local philanthropy and funders as well as health systems with an emphasis on reducing asthma triggers in homes and was a principle assessor on a peer reviewed medical journal article demonstrating the effectiveness of targeted home repairs to improve indoor air quality for the reduction of built environment based asthma triggers.

Brett then led and grew the Greensboro Housing Coalition, a 501-C3 housing advocacy Non Profit organization as the Executive Director for over 5 years. During that time he worked with Greensboro Neighborhood Development and Code Compliance, HUD, EPA, National Foundations such as The Kresge Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Community Development Financial Institutions, Healthcare Institutions and Foundations as well as …….

Brett then worked for an Investment/management/ construction company with both a multi and single family rental portfolio. This work included managing the individual single and multi family upfits as those properties were either made into single family rental units and houses that were then upfitted/ repaired and sometimes rebuilt to be sold on the MLS.
